In-World Games

The World of Azraeém has a number of downtime activities that they often use to not only connect with each other but to also recoup and revitalize themselves in a world that’s becoming extremely stressful. Though many people are not aware of the impending end on the horizon, taking part in Games and Social Activities is still a highly respected endeavor for everyone to partake in.

Requirements: A Standard RWS Tarot Deck or a Standard RWS Derivative (Modern Witch Tarot, Supernova Tarot, etc.)

The Goal: The first who gets the highest points at the end of 5 rounds wins.

Number of Players: 2

The Game: Players decide between The Emperor or The Empress to play as. Once the card has been chosen, shuffle the remaining tarot deck and distribute the remaining cards between both players. Each round, players will draw 3 cards face down. After cards are drawn, each player will switch over the cards individually to see what they’ve pulled. Depending on the cards drawn on either side, they’ll accumulate the following amount of points:

  • The Hierophant, Justice, The Tower, Death and Judgement = 5 Points
  • Remaining Major Arcana = 3 Points
  • Minor Arcana = 1 Point

The only exception are The Fool and The World card which yield the following effect:

  • The Fool = Doubles the number of points drawn in that round for that player
  • The World = Negates the opposing card in that column drawn by the other player

Bonus: As each player draws their cards, they can use this as an opportunity to do tarot readings for themselves. The people of Azraeém find this to be extremely therapeutic as this can be revealing while maintaining some sense of levity!
